Drones: Is the Sky the Limit?
Think drones are cool and that they’ll be the future of modern society? Then this event is made for you. Calling all drone enthusiasts to Huntsville, a place known for its immense contribution to the rocket and aerospace industry in the United States.
This event is produced by the Imagine Exhibitions and developed by experts in the drone field from the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. You can explore the everyday use of drones and their various functions in today's world and look at the role drones will play in the future of our technologically advancing world.
The event occurs weekly on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at the Space and Rocket Center, at One Tranquility Base in Huntsville, Alabama.
Jack Mitchell: Artists
The renowned American photographer, Jack Mitchell, who passed away in 2013, left his mark on the world with his captivating photographs of famous personalities in the film, art, and theater industry.
He captured beautiful moments on camera and photographed musicians, visual artists, and writers throughout his career that spanned over 50 years. He also did special assignment work for 25 years for The New York Times.
If you're an art lover or get beyond excited about photography, come to this exhibition in Huntsville, which honors Jack Mitchell and features about 50 color and silver gelatin photographs that he took throughout his career.
The exhibition is open from May 16 to August 8, 2021, and occurs every week on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, at the Huntsville Art Museum, located at 300 Church Street. There is an admission fee for entering the exhibition.
Toys: The Inside Story
A unique traveling exhibit that is perfect for children and located at 404 Madison Street, Huntsville, AL. This exhibit features 20 types of playing and learning stations. The stations exhibit various mechanisms that are typically found in toys.
The exhibit also has an interactive feature that allows visitors to create their toys by using a combination of gears, cams, pulleys, circuits, linkages, etc. You can also learn about the history of toys and how they evolved through the ages.
The exhibit is open from July 10 to September 10, and it recurs daily. There is an admission fee charged for the show, and you can get discount coupons from the Downtown Visitor Center.
